Our families are similar as my grandfather’s brother and sister both passed from Alzheimer’s also, as well as some of his family back in Ireland. My mother is 3rd generation of women with Alzheimer’s in our family, and I am her caretaker. I know what likely lies ahead for us, as you have well-described. It can be a challenge to live ‘in the moment’ instead of fearing the future, but it is my goal every day. Thank you for sharing your touching story.
